Moscow—Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk and Sibur's Nipigaz have agreed to enter into a partnership for the design, procurement and construction of the planned Amur gas processing plant (GPP) near Svobodny in Russia's Amur region (PCN, 6 Jan 2014, p 3). The Amur GPP will be Russia's largest natural gas processing facility with a design capacity reaching 49-billion cubic meters per year. It will produce "ready for sale," methane, ethane, propane, butane, pentane-hexane fraction, and will include the "world's largest" helium production, Sibur noted.
