UOP Expanding Production Capacity For Adsorbents. Catalysts in Mobile

Mobile—UOP plans to invest $20-million to expand its adsorbents and catalysts production facility in Mobile, Ala. The project will support the production of new adsorbents and catalysts used by petrochemical producers and refiners, and will expand production of UOP IONSIV ion exchange adsorbents, which remove radioactive material from liquid. Completion is expected in the fourth quarter of this year.
