NPC Hohhot Petrochemical Completes Mongolian Refinery and PP Project

Shanxi-China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) on 2 Aug. announced that its CNPC Hohhot Petrochemical Co. subsidiary was ready to begin trial operations at its refinery and polypropylene (PP) complex in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China (PCN, 18 May 09, p 4). The project involved increasing refining capacity to 100,000 b/d from 30,000 b/d and construction of a PP plant having 150,000 t/y of capacity.
