Increasing demands on high-strength heavy plate for heavy machine construction require the modelling of material properties during the production process. To this end, the business unit Heavy Plate at thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG has used state-of-the-art calculation tools from process data and test value databases. This report describes the development of the underlying material models, their implementation into practice-oriented computer software as well as the practical application illustrated by selected examples.
