Workers at the Suncor Energy and Syncrude oil sands plants barely had time to unpack their bags after evacuation orders were reissued Monday evening when the wildfire near Fort McMurray shifted north. According to the Alberta Emergency Management Organization, the major threat now is to oil and gas infrastructure and not Fort McMurray, where fires are now mostly under control - although some explosions occurred in the oil sands hub city on Tuesday.
