Opec Members Divided Over Emergency Meeting

Opec members remain divided on how to address the ongoing weakness in oil prices amid a massive glut in the market. Nigeria's petroleum minister, Emmanuel Kachikwu, on Tuesday said the group might hold an emergency meeting in February or March after r "a couple" of members requested one in light of crude's latest slide toward $30 per barrel. Gulf Arab Opec states maintain their view, however, that a meeting won't be required as the group's strategy is working.
