EOG Resources has announced deeper-thanexpected cuts in capital spending and says it does not expect to grow its oil production this year if prices remain at current low levels. The Houston-based producer is targeting capex of about $5 billion this year -- roughly 40% lower than spending of $8.3 billion in 2014. That reflects a decision to emphasize capital discipline during the current period of price weakness.
