EnerVest Adds $1.3 Billion in Eagle Ford Assets

EnerVest has substantially grown its holdings in the South Texas Eagle Ford Shale over the past several months, taking advantage of what it sees as bargain prices for high-quality assets in the current low commodity price environment. The E&P private equity fund said it that it has reached three separate deals since September to acquire more than 13,000 net acres in Karnes County, Texas, for a total of $1.3 billion.
