New Survey Bullish on Newfoundland Offshore

A new resource survey has estimated that the Flemish Pass off Newfoundland holds in - place oil and natural gas potential reserves of 12 billion barrels of oil and 113 Tcf of gas in 11 parcels currently on offer for bids. Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Paul Davis said these parcels are up for bid in the first - ever scheduled license round closing in November. He added the last such resource survey was done 30 years ago and placed the reserves at 60 Tcf of natural gas and 8 billion bbls of crude.
