Shell Icebreaker Damaged Ahead of Alaska Drilling

Royal Dutch Shell's plans to resume exploration drilling in Arctic waters off Alaska have hit another snag, with one of its vessels sustaining damage as it sailed out of Dutch Harbor, Alaska. Shell said the icebreaker Fennica was heading out to the drilling site in the Chukchi Sea on Friday when crew members discovered a leaking ballast tank. A harbor pilot was onboard the vessel at the time.
