Anadarko to Sell Tuscaloosa Marine Shale Acreage

Anadarko Petroleum is looking to sell 271,000 net acres (283,000 gross) in eastern and central Louisiana that it says contains proven reserves in the Austin Chalk formation. The company says the assets, which it operates, also have potential in the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale and Wilcox formations and come with more than 400 drilling locations.
