Americas Petrogas and its co-venturerGran Tierra Energy said they have made a“significant discovery” of oil in the first ofthree exploration wells on the RinconadaNorte block in the Neuquen Basin in Ar-gentina.The company reported an initial flow rateof 1,023 boe/d from two intervals tested sep-arately in the Precuyo formation at depths of982-992 meters (3,221-3,255 feet) and1,022-1032 meters.
