Incentives to promote the use of naturalgas vehicles (NGVs) have bipartisan supportin Congress and are also backed by theWhite House, but several groups havestepped forward to oppose tax credits for thepurchase of NGVs and construction of refu-eling infrastructure.Stakeholders in industries that rely onnatural gas as a feedstock have launched let-ter-writing campaigns urging lawmakers toreject the Nat Gas Act, a bipartisan bill thataims to establish tax credits for NGVs, com-pressed natural gas (CNG) fuel, and fillingstations (OD Apr.7’11).
