Canadian oil shale developer Realm Energy International said it will explore and develop France’s Paris Basin with ConocoPhillips. Realm has applied for exploration licenses and permits for 1.65 million acres in the Paris Basin and will operate the initial exploration phase. The applications are for nine exploration permits and include all rights to explore for oil and gas in all underlying formations. The farmout agreement gives Conoco the option to take over operatorship following the initial development phase.
