BP Sells Mature US Gulf Assets

BP has agreed to sell its interests in the mature Pompano and Mica deepwater fields in the US Gulf of Mexico to US independent producer Stone Energy for $204 million in cash. Under the agreement, Stone will acquire a 75% operated interest in the Pompano field, a 50% interest in the Exxon Mobil-operated Mica field and a 51% operated interest in the nearby Mississippi Canyon Block 29.
