Gas Verde signed up for 20-year biogas deal

BRAZIL'S Petrobras has signed a deal with local supplier Gas Verde to buy 200,000 cubic metres of purified biogas per day for use at its Reduc refinery in Rio de Janeiro state.The deal involves taking methane from decomposing rubbish in the Jardim Gramacho landfill and selling it to the Reduc refinery, which intends to reduce its natural gas consumption by 10%.
