There is a war raging right now. it is an 'old school' war. It is trenches and mud, and battle lines that keep shifting. One side breaks through the front and advances deep into enemy territory, but their victories are pyrrhic by the end of the week as everyone downs their weapons and heads home for the weekend, all ground won has again been surrendered and each side is back in the same trenches they were a year ago, five years ago. 'No man's land' is littered with the casualties of this war that never ends, but at least does have the decency to allow us all to rest each week.
