Alamos objects to gold takeover 'poison pill'

PREDATOR Alamos Gold Inc filed an application with the Canadian regulator to prevent Aurizon Mines Ltd from implementing a 'poison pill defence'to prevent a takeover. Vancouver-based Aurizon is subject to two takeover bids, one from Alamos, which it has rejected, and another from US silver miner Hecla Mining Co, which it has recommended to shareholders.
