Independent thinking key to discovery

THE first technical session at the 2012 PDAC convention and conference looked at what was different about the "superstars" of the minerals exploration industry - the discoverers. CIC Resources Inc's David Lowell, one of the most successful discoverers ever, suggested that good students made bad explorationists, since good exploration required an ability not to be bound by accepted ideas of how discoveries were made.
