The Minister of Energy, through Crown Minerals (a group within the Ministry of Economic Development) is responsible for the overall management of ail stateowned minerals in New Zealand.The principal services provided by Crown Minerals are: The effective allocation of mineral rights to ensun efficient use of resources; Access to high-quality digital, technical and permitting data; Promotion of international investment in exploration and production; and Provision of policy advice on matters affecting New Zealand's interests in petroleum and minerals.
