This article proposes an erhium-doped fiber laser for remote fiher grating sensor system Experimental results demonstrated that the sensitivity of wavelength of temperature tested from 25 to 85 degrees C was 5 pm/degrees C and locating the proposed fiber sensor system 110 km away from the monitoring station ensured a high signal-to-noise ratio. The proposed fiber laser will facilitate the development of long-distance or large-scale fiber sensor systems and can be easily extended to multi-point sensing applications.
