China-origin light long export offers slump 70 dollars on domestic market woes

China-origin rebar and wire rod export offers have slumped 70 dollars per tonne from last week's levels, following similar declines in the domestic market, participants told MB. The latest rebar offers were quoted at 550-560 dollars per tonne fob, down from 620-630 dollars last week, while wire rod offers fell to around 560 dollars on the same terms, down from 630 dollars last week. Most end-users saw the latest prices as reasonable and bookings were numerous, market players said.
