Chinese iron ore imports fell to 45.5 million tonnes in October, the lowest since January, after steel prices plunged, but are expected to rebound this month with the market. Imports in October fell a sharp 30 percent from the record high of 64.6 million tonnes in September, although still 49 percent higher year-on-year, according to preliminary customs data. So far this year, only January saw a lower volume at 32.7 million tonnes.
