China imported 1.87 million tonnes of copper concentrates in the first four months this year, up 23.2 percent year-on-year, according to Chinese customs. This included 500,000 tonnes in April,up3.5 percent year-on-year or 19 percent month-on-month. Local traders said China's demand for copper concentrates remained strong, despite low treatment and refining charges (TC/RCs).
