Job losses loom at Caparo Aluminium as credit crunch hits consumers

Caparo AluminiumTechnologies management is in discussions to save jobs at its castings operations in Stourbridge, UK, after the loss of a major contract, the company told MB last week. "With the current economic climate there has been a significant number of call-offs and this combined with the significant costs of running it meant we had to review the situation," Caparo Engineering chief executive John Wood told MB.
