Wuhan Steel to commission another three service centres this year

Wuhan Iron & Steel is planning to commission three service centres for flat products in north, south and southwest China by the end of the year, company officials said. Construction started in early June on a facility in Chongqing, which will have the capacity to process 200,000 tpy of cold rolled, galvanized and stainless sheet and coil, as well as silicon sheet. The company, China's third largest steelmaker, will build two more service centres in Tianjin in north China and Guangzhou in south China, both of which are set for commissioning by the end of the year. Wuhan Steel officials refused to disclose details of the Tianjin and Guangzhou operations.
