USS KOSICE IS MAIN TARGET OF FRESH EU DUTIES

The European Commission has set anti-dumping duties against hot rolled coil imports from Slovakia, Egypt and Turkey, according to European steel federation Eurofer. Eurofer is pleased with the Commission's decision to impose duties against Slovakia of 26 percent, Egypt of 16 percent and Turkey of 10 percent. Iran and Libya, which had been included in the investigation, were excluded from duties on the de minimis basis for developing nations. The Commission found no injury was caused by imports from Hungary, which also escaped any duties.
