Noranda Aluminum and union reach agreement

NEW YORK - Noranda Aluminum has signed an early five-year wage agreement with the United Steelworkers union after 63 percent of members voted to ratify the deal. The new labour pact, which takes effect from September 1, provides wage increases each year of the agreement, improved pension benefits and some changes in healthcare benefits.
