Scottish waste cost to grow

The cost of municipal waste management in Scotland looks set to rise sharply as a result of the Landfill Directive.According to a report for the Scottish Executive by consultants Enviros Aspinwall, Scotland's heavy reliance on landfill will contribute to a 50 percent increase in its current waste management bill of pound 194 million-within 10 years.
