Supply chain IT innovator BalloonOne has announced a new PDA-based stock management system that incorporates proof of delivery (POD). Called Springboard Mobile, the flexible system integrates seamlessly with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to automate direct-to-customer supply chain and vendor managed inventory (VMI) applications. The system reduces paperwork significantly, cuts administration costs and enables immediate invoicing. "Feedback from our customers identified a need for a mobile solution that would enable them to remove time consuming tasks within the supply chain. This included the ability to accurately record proof of delivery of orders so that signatures link directly to invoices held in SAP. When a delivery is complete, the driver scans the delivery note and captures the customer's signature with a time stamp. This reduces invoicing queries and expedites payment collection," says Craig Powell, Managing Director, BalloonOne.
