Senators urge Mexico to end anti-dumping charges against U.S. chicken

Abipartisan group of 16 senators, led by Sens. Tom Carper (D-Del.) and Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.), on Monday sent a letter to U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk urging termination of Mexico's anti-dumping duties case against U.S. chicken leg quarters.Noting that the Senate is currently considering the Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade agreement, the letter asks Kirk warn his Mexican counterparts that the United States has strong concerns about what the National Chicken Council calls the "unfounded and illegal charges that U.S. chicken leg quarters are exported to Mexico at price levels in violation of WTO trade rules."
