EU Parliament lawyers slam narrow biotech cultivation proposal

The European Commission's proposed biotech cultivation policy offers only limited possibilities for member-states to take restrictive measures and is therefore legally dubious, according to the European Parliament's legal service. In an opinion circulated to MEPs last week and seen by our sister publication Agra Europe, the lawyers call the proposals far too "narrow."
