China: July sulphur imports down 37%

China’s July imports of sulphur declined 37% year on year to 856,116 mt, though total imports for January-July were still up 12% at 7.42 million mt. The biggest source of July tonnes was Saudi Arabia, which supplied 178,676 mt. The country was also the largest supplier for January-July, as the source of 1.65 million mt, up 32%. Other suppliers in July included the UAE (153,748 mt), South Korea (102,974 mt), Japan (99,847 mt), and Russia (71,623 mt).
