US NOLA: Barge prices flow to extremes again

Most of this week's granular urea barge business was in the low $230s/st-low $240/st FOB New Orleans. However, at the end of the week some barges changed hands in the low-mid $250s/st FOB due to their advantageous position as loaded or moving barges. In addition, at least one firm offer for a loaded Chinese granular barge was made at $220/st FOB. Previously offers of Chinese granular urea around this price were limited to late April delivery.
