Spot purchases of DAP from China for India and Latin America appear to have broken below $330/mt FOB. This signals suppliers still cannot establish a floor based on production economics and claimed production curtailments primarily in China. The willingness of India to take more DAP cargoes was expected in the absence of new phosacid contract price agreements. But so far the further demand has produced more aggressive prices from suppliers in China and Saudi Arabia to multiple markets and likely will ripple even further in coming days.
