Many distributors with positions in Texas and along the Arkansas River report their retail customers either have full granular urea storage or have pending orders to cover expected demand for the winter wheat crop. Nevertheless, these same players are picking up spot barges either to meet nearby demand or as long positions against higher forward prices.
