Global urea values got a welcome boost from the the prices tabled to India's STC November 16, and were further supported when the importer opted to counter suppliers November 17 at numbers that reflected the lowest offers in the intial round. There were widespread doubts in the market whether the Indian Department of Fertilizer (DoF) would clear purchases at numbers some $30-35/mt above those secured via the September 22 MMTC tender that secured cover for about 1 million mt.
