Canada’s Agrium posted third-quarter net income of $41 million, down from $101 million in the same three months of 2015 due to factors including lower nutrient prices and one-time costs primarily related to the company’s proposed merger with PotashCorp. Agrium said that the result was also attributed to a delayed harvest across North America as a result of wet weather as well as low pest and disease pressure in the U.S., which limited demand for the its crop protection products this growing season.
