Producers’ ammonia output and shipments in Q4 changed very little compared to the prior year period, according to data provided by The Fertilizer Institute. Total ammonia output for the quarter was 3.42 million st (3.1 million mt), bringing total US output for the first half of the US fertilizer year through December to 6.44 million st (5.84 million mt) ammonia, 5% more than the prior year period. The October, November and December volumes were 1.05 million st, 1.19 st million and 1.17 million st respectively.
