Morocco: October imports climb 18% on year

Morocco’s October imports of sulphuric acid increased 18% year on year to 98,685 mt, though the total for the first 10 months was still down 13% at 666,019 mt. Spain was the largest supplier in October with 38,284 mt. Mexico supplied 19,794 mt, Bulgaria supplied 19,193 mt, and Belgium supplied 14,164 mt. This marked the first time Morocco received acid from Mexico, as increased supply from the Boleo mine sought new outlets given weaker Chilean demand.
