Prices for granular MOP have increased to $230-240/mt CFR in Brazil although the market has calmed within the last week following heavy demand earlier this month. Price indications for gMOP now range from $230-240/mt CFR, up from $225-235/mt CFR previously. Still, most trading is being conducted in the lower half of this new range, sources report. Suppliers continue to push for $240-245/mt CFR but one buyer has said that it will not pay more than $235/mt CFR for September gMOP loading.
