Australia: January-August MOP arrivals down 21%

Australia imported 28,058 mt MOP in August, leaving arrivals in January through that month down 21% year on year at 220,544 mt, according to IHS GTA data. Just under 48% of the January-August volumes, or 107,559 mt MOP, arrived from Canpotex, compared to 156,390 mt in the same eight months of 2015. Australia’s other MOP sources in this period were the US (37,882 mt), ICL (37,568 mt) and K+S (29,954 mt).
