Sinofert buying 1.9 million mt potash, 2.4 milliion mt options

Canpotex has entered into a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sinochem Fertilizer Macao Commercial Offshore Ltd. (Sinofert) to supply a minimum of 1.9 million mt of red standard grade potash. Sinofert also has the option to purchase up to 2.4 million mt (800,000 mt per year) of other grades of Canpotex potash during the term of the MOU. Pricing will be negotiated every six months (January to June and July to December), based on market conditions.
