Russian nitrogen and phosphates producer Uralchem announced a modernisation programme of its Minudobrenia Perm prilled urea plant at a cost of RUB 4.2 billion ($63.9 million). Current capacity stands at 670,000 mt/year, with improvements to the plant adding another 250,000 mt/year by 2019. “The company’s priority is to increase production at existing facilities via modernisation and introduction of the most advanced technologies,” Uralchem General Director Dmitry Konyaev said in a company statement.
