DAP prices for Russian and Lithuanian product move up

The DAP market in Northern Europe has firmed up to the $540- 545/mt FCA level and above for January business. Sales have been concluded at the lower level in Germany and at higher prices in the ARA region and France. The German market is lagging in terms of DAP coverage for the time of year following a slow start to the season and then reluctance in recent weeks to pay higher prices compounded by the steadily weakening Euro. There is some buying activity now however as some buyers are forced back into the market for tonnes. Those that can wait may continue to do so. Wet weather is not helping to encourage movement onto field.
