US MAP exports compensate for lower Brazilian shipments

The latest GTIS data show OCP loaded 120,000 mt DAP and 66,000 mt MAP in October, a total of 186,000 mt compared with 284,000 mt a year earlier. The reason for the drop in October shipments was the lack of Brazilian business last year. OCP shipped just 6,100 mt MAP in October against 129,000 mt in October 2013. While there was no discernible difference in the quantity of NP/NPK shipments in October, OCP did ship more phosacid during the month, thereby limiting availability for granulation purposes.
