It is only the first week of March, but there are plenty of signs the industry is more than ready for the spring. The most obvious sign is that inland business and price shifts were at a bare minimum. Price changes generally were limited to the New Orleans benchmark this week. New spot offers of imported UAN were confirmed, with suppliers trying to win new business without substantial price cuts. Potash quotes also slipped marginally at New Orleans, but inland values firmed modestly as hopes for renewed applications of phosphate and potash within two weeks emerged in the Corn Belt.
