A six month acid contract on the cards once again?

Speculation is growing that there may not be settlement for a Q1 phosacid price but instead negotiations will result in a price for H1. OCP has been delivering up to two cargoes per month through Q1 just to its jv partners. Others have been shipping on a provisional price basis. In 2014, the Q3/Q4 contract price was agreed in Q3 but for the six month period to December, at $765/mt P2O5 CFR. GTIS data for 2014 showed a decline in import volumes for the third successive calendar year at 1.7 million mt P2O5 compared with 2.3 million mt in 2011. OCP's share of the import market was 54%, up from 47% in 2011.
