MOP pricing set to continue its uptrend going forward

With a new price benchmark for China established at $400/mt CFR following the recent contract settlements by the two largest suppliers to the country – BPC and Canpotex, February spot business for standard and granular MOP has been finalised higher at $430-450/mt CFR, respectively, into Southeast Asia and Brazil, the largest import regions for non- contractual tonnage. January spot business was concluded as low as $410/mt CFR for standard MOP.
