Spot prices continue to fall as bearish trend persists

As predicted by many participants in the sulphur market, the bearish trend of the past two months has continued through May. Spot prices in India have fallen into the low $130s/mt CFR, and price ideas in China are even lower, though as yet unconfirmed by actual business. A Taiwanese tender awarded this week at $114/mt FOB Mai Liao would probably land in China in the mid $120s/mt CFR.
